icare, a NSW government organisation that runs a number of insurance and care schemes, has engaged Efficiency Leaders to help expand the automation of their invoice processing.
icare provides insurance and care services to support individuals injured in their workplace or on NSW roads. Its schemes help individuals recover and return to work, if possible, while also funding any long-term care requirements.
Efficiency Leaders has recently secured several contract extensions with iCare:
icare’s CTP Care scheme provides treatment and care to people with an ongoing NSW CTP claim who have suffered a motor accident injury and now have long-term needs.
The scheme currently uses a Kofax solution to process invoices against their claim. However, the software needs to extract more data fields to fulfil the State Insurance Regulatory Authority’s data reporting requirements. As a result, EL is extending the solution to meet these requirements.
Dust Diseases Care
Dust Diseases Care provides compensation, treatment and care for NSW workers who suffer a dust disease due to harmful exposure at their workplace. The scheme covers medical treatment, services, and at-home nursing care.
Dust Diseases Care receives approximately 20,000 invoices a year, which the division currently manually enters in a client management system. Efficiency Leaders is leveraging and extending icare’s Kofax deployment to cover Dust Diseases Care. This solution will extract data from emailed invoices and validate it against the claim, eliminating the need for time-consuming data entry and manual look ups.
Insurance for NSW
Insurance for NSW manages several Government funds and statutory insurance schemes, collectively supporting and protecting the NSW public sector. This includes workers compensation insurance, and covers state assets, critical infrastructure, and services.
Insurance for NSW manually enters around 80,000 invoices per annum into Atlas, their business management system. Similar to the work for Dust Diseases Care, Efficiency Leaders is leveraging and extending icare’s Kofax solution to ingest, validate and process invoices for Insurance for NSW.
Dan Bennett, Executive Director at Efficiency Leaders said: “We are delighted to help icare maximise their existing software to improve efficiency in invoice processing. By making payments as streamlined as possible, we are helping icare deliver better service and care to the people, businesses, and communities of NSW.”
