FAQs
What is Epicor?
Epicor offers a range of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions and business management software to support companies of all sizes across the manufacturing, distribution, retail, and services industries.
What can RapidAP offer Epicor users?
RapidAP uses world-leading, AI-enabled OCR technology to extract over 90% of data from invoices received via email. It then performs compliance checks on this data to validate it before initiating invoice approval workflows. When invoices are approved, it sends the data to Epicor for posting and payment.
The solution also offers an integrated invoice receiver’s PEPPOL access point, so you can receive and process PEPPOL e-invoices. RapidAP can take in payables information via OCR and from the PEPPOL network simultaneously, validating this data and sending it to Epicor for straight-through processing, or activating its in-built invoice approval workflows, as required.
RapidAP’s business rules engine is highly configurable to your organisational structure and internal compliance needs. It can cater for complex business requirements, heavy invoice volumes, and many system users, making it a robust and flexible solution that can cater for a growing business’ needs.
How does RapidAP integrate with Epicor?
Efficiency Leaders can use a range of integration methods to connect RapidAP with different systems. For contemporary ERPs, this includes connecting to REST and SOAP endpoints, while for older systems options include SFTP data exchange, CSV file exports, and direct connections to databases using stored procedures. With any of these methods, integration usually just takes a day or two.
What does integration involve?
Integration involves establishing connections between software interfaces to allow them to share data. It’s also about ensuring the structure and data fields in both systems match, so data can flow across all inter-connected components. This improves productivity, reduces costs, and provides management a real-time view of the business.
How do you ensure succesful systems integration?
For each deployment, Efficiency Leaders writes a detailed Scope and Requirements document and an Integration Specification document. This enables both parties to agree on the solution design and the integration method, providing assurance and attributing accountability for deliverables.
Testing is an important part of the integration process. Efficiency Leaders uses actual supplier invoices to validate RapidAP’s solution is effective, and that data is passed smoothly to Epicor software for the next stage in the accounts payable process.
RapidAP has integrated with almost all ERP systems – including Epicor software – many times over. As a result, integration is a straightforward process, helping to deliver a return on investment as soon as possible.
